DNSC-SAD 2018: Chapter 9

Shark Tank is a business-related series that shows an aspiring entrepreneurs as they present their own invention on the five panel of investors or as they call them “Sharks”. One of the series I watch in YouTube entitled “Newington couple become instant millionaire on Shark Tank” the couple Alyssa and Zack Brown presented their invention called Moki Doorstep. Moki Doorstep is an equipment that helps people in quick and easy step up to the roof of their cars, not just in the cars but also in placing clothes in the cabinet, decorating Christmas tree, cleaning the high wall and etc. It is an opportunity to have this kind of thing to boost our needs. This couple only seek $150, 000 for 5% stake to the investor. But luckily they’ve got $3 million for the entire company. It says in this series that when you have the courage to risk, then risk.

            This movie show us that we will be the one to make our own destiny and not anyone should draw it. The 3 characters named Farhan, Raju and Rancho have different perspective but they become as one when they met at the same college they schooled and become roommate. Farhan wanted to become a famous photographer but his father want him to become engineer. Raju become engineer to help his family. But, Rancho loves learning and become engineer, he is a type of person that is vocal and prank. He says what is in his heart, even the most terror teacher in their school named Mr. Viru, he never shows fear. Their school named Imperial College of Engineering (ICE) is a number 1 school in their country, so it is very lucky for the one who got to be in this school. But in a very prestige school, it is also a very strict and pressured, some student committed suicide because they cannot take the pressure they encounter. REFLECTION PAPER IN Commencement Address of Steve Jobs First story is about connecting the dots. Steve jobs says that it is impossible to connect the dots when looking forward, yet it is possible to connect when looking backward. So he reminisce his past and connect all the event happened because it is the answer on who he is right now. Second story is about love and loss. Steve found his self loving what he is doing. In his early age he find love in building his own name and company. He and Woz started Apple without having any knowledge in a business world and became bigger. When Apple became bigger Steve and Woz hire someone that has the knowledge in the business but the business is falling out, so Steve got fired on his own business. Steve never doubt his capability in discovering new things. In years later he build the company name NeXt and Pixar and eventually he met his lovely wife Laurence. Third story is about death. In successful years of Steve Jobs a painful event

I slightly disagree with the result that is given me by the EQ Test. Personally I always make decisions together with the people around me. I ask opinion/ idea in terms of problem solving. I also do group questioning and collaborating.

I agree with the result given by the 16Personalities Test, it stated that I am a defender. Though I am a conservative type of person I can protect myself and others. Sometimes I am more self centered but I care to others. And I am helpful when someone needed my help.
